[January 17, 2022]
On Saturday, March 27, 2021, members of the Mount
Pulaski High School staff were on hand to give brief tours of the
newly updated building. Tours were given to small groups every
fifteen minutes, and everyone present wore masks to meet covid
prevention health requirements. Tours lasted from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
|
The tour focused on both new and old construction.
The building underwent some reconstruction in 2006, and those
updates are still part of the building. Some of the classrooms that
were built in 2006 have been reassigned to different teachers due to
the newest construction.
Other changes include an upgrade to the trophy cases and there is a
brand new space for administrative staff.
Most of the work has gone into the upstairs portion of the building.
On that floor, there are new classrooms, a new library and
open-concept style seating, new rooms that will hold educational
technology in the future, and collaborative work spaces for students
and teachers.

Some of the new classrooms are already being used
by students, so long as there is enough space.
The classrooms feature upgraded hardware (televisions, computers,
and other similar things) and new tables that can be adjusted to
different heights.
There are also new locker rooms for all athletes with attached
offices for coaches, and a new weight room that is currently being
used for health classes, as it allows for enough space between
students to accommodate for social distancing.
