Obituary

Darrell V. Rankin, 65, of Beason, passed away June 21, 2022 at his home.

Cremation rites have been accorded by Holland Barry & Bennett Funeral Home.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Darrell was born April 15, 1957, in Lincoln, IL., the son of John Rankin and Mary Ann (Hunter). He graduated from High School in Forreston, IL.

He was formerly employed as operations manager and installations scheduler at Widmer in Peoria, IL. Darrell’s granddaughter, Kloee, was the light of his life. He was a devout family man and loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed riding his Harley and traveling with the Mild Hogs Motorcycle Group.

He enjoyed canoeing, camping, and traveling to the Current River. Darrell was extremely organized and took pride in his work.

 

His life will be forever cherished by family and friends who had the pleasure of knowing him and his memory remains immortal in their hearts.

Survivors include his children: Chad Rankin (JoEllen) and Alicia Rankin (Michael Morgan); grandchildren: Kloee Rankin, Abbie Danner, Jacob Danner, Aiden Morgan, Ethan Morgan, Dylan Morgan, Keegan and Kyla Morgan; sister Rhonda Pearson (Bob); and half-brother Paul Buss.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Rene Barr, and sister Vickie Crowe.

Memorial donations may be made to a memorial account at CEFCU in Lincoln, IL for the benefit of Kloee Rankin’s higher education fund.
