[July 07, 2022]  MOUNT PULASKI - Brenda Lee Buckles, 65, of Mount Pulaski, passed away on Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at Springfield Memorial Hospital.

Service:  A Celebration Life will be held on Saturday, July 23, 2022 at The Mount Pulaski American Legion Post #447 from 3:00-5:00pm.

Obituary

Brenda Lee Buckles, 65, of Mount Pulaski, passed away on Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at Springfield Memorial Hospital.

Brenda was born on August 23, 1956 in Decatur, the daughter of Charles “Sonny” and Barbara (Babbs) Aylesworth Jr. She married Franklin Buckles on February 17, 1977 in Las Vegas, NV.

Brenda is survived by her husband Frank, of Mount Pulaski; two daughters, Brooke Buckles of Mount Pulaski, and Bridget (Nick) Fleer of Chatham; her parents, Sonny and Barbara Aylesworth of Mount Pulaski; her brother, Brad (Sheila) Aylesworth of Mount Pulaski; and her grandchildren, Blake, Brie, Caden, and Frankie June.

 

Brenda was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Mount Pulaski and The Mount Pulaski American Legion Post #447 Auxiliary. She enjoyed decorating her home for the holidays, garage sales, and fishing. Above all else Brenda loved her family, especially her grandkids.

A Celebration of Brenda’s life will be held on Saturday, July 23, 2022 at The Mount Pulaski American Legion Post #447 from 3:00-5:00pm.

Memorial donations may be made in Brenda’s name to St. John’s Lutheran Church or The Mount Pulaski American Legion Post #447.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home, Mount Pulaski.
