David
Arkebauer named LTEC Student of the Year

David Arkebauer, son of Rex and Nichole Arkebauer, has been
named “Student of the Year” at Lincolnland Technical Education
Center (LTEC) for the 2022 school year and will receive a
scholarship sponsored by the Rotary Club of Lincoln.
David has been enrolled in the LTEC Building Trades
class for two years and was an essential part in the brand-new
construction of two houses on 718 S. Madison (Habitat for Humanity
House) and 201 9th Street in Lincoln, IL.

David
has impressed his instructor Mr. John Ford and the rest of the LTEC
Faculty with his willingness to learn any skill and his commitment
to producing quality work. David will be a tremendous asset to any
future employer or organization and is an outstanding example of an
LTEC student preparing for a successful career.
While attending Greenview High School and LTEC, David has been quite
active participating in Basketball, Golf, Track and Field, Drama
Club, Stem Club, Scholastic Bowl, Wyse Team, Youth Council, FFA,
Civic Improvement Association, and volunteers to mentor elementary
students in his spare time.

David’s future plan is to attend a community college for the
first two years and eventually transfer to the University of Illinois to major
in Architecture/Construction Management. David’s career goal is to design and
build people the home of their dreams.
As the LTEC “Student of the Year,” David received a $1000
scholarship from the Rotary Club of Lincoln, IL on June 8th at the Oasis Senior
Center in Lincoln.
