To the editor:
If the Supreme Court's recent reversal of Roe v.
Wade worries you, it may be because you believe that a woman's
health care decisions should be made by women and their doctors and
not by a Republican-controlled state legislature. Fortunately, in
spite of the mistakes of the current partisan Supreme Court,
Illinois women still have access to procedures recommended by their
doctors .
Unfortunately there are plenty of zealots who continue to seek the
end of medically required treatment for women. They now are working
to bring about the defeat of Gov. J.B. Pritzker on November 8
because it was Gov. Pritzker and our Democratic controlled General
Assembly who continue to provide Illinois women with the right to
choose.

This is why we must re-elect Gov. Pritzker. Here's
how to do it. On November 8 all registered women - Republican,
Independent and Democratic alike-- will have access to a secret
ballot in order to make sure that Gov. Pritzker is re-elected and
the rights of Illinois women preserved. And here's the beauty of it
all. Because of the secret ballot nobody need know how a woman
voted.
