[July 13, 2022]  LINCOLN - Shirley A. Harris, 89, of Lincoln, passed away on Sunday, July 3, 2022, at Carle BroMenn Medical Center with family members present.

Visitation:  1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, July 8, 2022, at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln

Service:  2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home

Obituary

Shirley A. Harris, 89, of Lincoln, passed away on Sunday, July 3, 2022, at Carle BroMenn Medical Center with family members present.

She was born on May 19, 1933, in Scio, OH, to Albert and Jessie (Gilbert) Saber. She married her high school sweetheart, Edwin L. Harris on July 1, 1951, in Scio, OH. He preceded her in death on March 13, 2021.

Surviving her is one daughter, Connie (Dennis) Fletcher of Atlanta and three sons, Ed (Debora) Harris of Vandalia, OH, Richard (Karen) Harris of Chestnut, and Randy (Rachel) Harris of Hartsburg. Also surviving are eight grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.

 

Even though she had a working career outside the home for many years, her first love was being a homemaker, mom, confidant, and eventually a loving “grandma”. She will be greatly missed.

Services for Shirley will be held at 2:00PM on Friday, July 8, 2022, at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln, with Rev. Mark Thompson officiating. Visitation will take place one hour prior to service (1:00PM-2:00PM). Burial will follow the services at Zion Cemetery in Lincoln.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Shirley’s name to Zion Lutheran Church, Lincoln.
