[July 06, 2022]  This July join us in the air conditioned comfort of the Oasis Senior Center for fun activities and special informational sessions aimed at helping seniors with available benefits.

WEEKLY Cards & Table Games (the FUN stuff!)

Monday/Weds/Friday - Pinochle 12pm-3pm
Tuesday - Mahjong 12pm-2pm
Tuesday - Dinner 5:00pm - Bingo 6:30pm (Menu to be posted on Tuesdays on the Oasis Senior Center FB Page)
Weds - Euchre & Spades 10am-12pm
Thursday - Free Bingo 1-2pm

Other Services

Benefit Access - Tuesday mornings - Income eligible seniors could be eligible for a Secretary of State License Plate Discount. Call the Oasis or stop in to get an appointment.

VA - The VA will be onsite for Veterans to access and speak to. Please call to get the Oasis and get the number to schedule an appointment with the VA rep on July 5th and July 19th .

Senior Food Bank - July 14th from 10am-11:30am - no proof of income is required; we will have food for seniors in need in the community.

Caregiver Support Group - July 19th at 1:30pm - Hosted at the Oasis, this group is open to people with a diagnosis, caregivers, and people concerned about a future diagnosis.

Legal Aide - July 20th from 9am-2:00pm - Legal Aide will be available onsite for scheduled appointments. Call the Oasis or stop in to schedule an appointment.

Social Security - July 21st 1pm-3:00pm - Assistance in accessing Social Security Info available online: examples include Applying for benefits, see what benefits one is eligible for, change of address, replace Medicare card. Call the Oasis or stop in to get an appointment.

Medicare 101 - July 11th at 5:30 & 14th at 10:30 am - Call the Oasis or stop in, to get added to the list for the class.

Extra Bingo Events:

Free Bingo - July 22nd from 10-1:30 - the Oasis in Partnership with Fricke, Calvert, Schrader funeral homes - will provide a community breakfast, and bingo, with cash prizes also provided by FCS. 100 Seats available.

Grandparent Bingo - July 22nd from 4-6:00pm - registration required. Free bingo from 4-6pm, grandparents and grandchildren ages 5-17. Prizes will be provided. Call the Oasis or stop in to register.

Day Trips
Village Tea Room - July 15th at 12pm - Join us for a short drive to Springfield to eat at the Village Tea Room or peruse their gift shop for crafts or fresh flowers. Call the Oasis or stop in, to sign-up!

Little Theatre on the Square: 9 to 5 The Musical - July 27th at 2pm join us for a trip to Sullivan to see the 1980 hit movie presented live in theatre. Call the Oasis or stop in, to sign up!
