brag tag when you register and one each week you turn in a book log
along with other prizes as you reach your final goal of a t-shirt.
The 6th – 12th grades get an opportunity to win weekly prizes,
weekly drawings, and a grand prize drawing for a gift card worth
$260 from Elite Kicks sponsored by local businesses for each week's
reading goals. Adult reading program information can be found at the
circulation desk in the Annex.
Summer reading is an important part of preventing summer slide.
Studies indicate students who read recreationally outperform those
who don’t. Students read more when they have the opportunity to
choose materials based on their interests.
Registration continues throughout the summer. To learn more about
the summer reading program at the library please call 217-732-5732,
