Lincoln Arts Institute members will open their June 2022 exhibition
with a reception from 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, June 9th at the
Lincoln Arts Institute, 112 S. McLean St, Lincoln. The gallery will
also be open on Friday evenings from 5 to 8 p.m. and Saturdays 10
a.m. to 1 p.m. throughout the month.
This month’s exhibition has an open theme allowing the artists to
imagine and create anything that speaks to them. There will be an
array of mediums from acrylic paintings, photography to sculpture.
Each artist brings their own unique style and flair to the show.
Local artist, Randy Washam, will be showcasing his photography with
some dandelion refraction shots that will make you take a second
glance. His Kitchen Collection adds another element and portrays
everyday items seen in most homes but from an artistic perspective.
Deborah Splain, continues a series of works “Inspiration &
Exploration “a woodcut; inspiration from Gustav Klimpt; exploring
materials such as venetian plaster and metallic leafing;
complemented by another media piece entitled “Captivation &
Illumination”.
The woodworking skills of Bob Dunosky are realized through his
meticulous resin and wood slab, coasters and cutting boards.
There are vibrant color schemes as well as calming neutral color
palettes throughout the gallery.
