The kids’ corner on Broadway Street will have plenty of fun activities to keep
everyone busy. The Lincoln Park District will be providing games for kids such
as Spikeball, and frisbee toss, and giant kerplunk. Inflatables will be there,
as well as balloon animals, sponsored by CEFCU.
This month there will be henna tattoos, rock painting, sidewalk chalk at the
courthouse, and a community painting. Artisans will be located on McLean Street
with original handmade work for sale.
As for food, there are plenty of vendors selling items such as popcorn, cotton
candy, snow cones, chips, ice cream and drinks. Sorrento’s will have pizza by
the slice and serving their new Nashville Hot Chicken Pizza. Both Alley-Bi and
Mama’s Arcade will be selling their famous cheeseburgers. Flossie’s will have
Nashville Hot Chicken Strips with potato salad and chips, Pulled Pork Nachos,
and Strawberry Shortcake. Rio Grande will have $9.50 California Burritos.
The committee is excited to continue these events and hope that all will come
for an evening of fun, food, and live entertainment!
