Obituary
Nancy E. Curry-Treatch, 88, of
Lincoln, passed away on Tuesday, June 14, 2022, at
Lincoln Memorial Hospital.
Nancy was born on June 11, 1934, in Lincoln to
Harold R. and Wilma (Shay) Ritchhart. She married
James “Bud” Curry. She later married Richard L.
Treatch on May 22, 1993, in Cambria, California.
Richard preceded her in death on November 8, 2017.
She is survived by her children, Greg (Lisa) Curry,
Jeff (Jackie) Curry, Robert (Amy Barnhart) Curry,
and Suzi (Roger) Alsup all of Lincoln, four
step-children, Richard B. (Phyllis) Treatch, Charles
E. (Rhonda) Treatch, Marci (Douglas) Haas, and Lori
(James) Erickson all of California; one brother,
Ronald Ritchhart of Lincoln, two sisters, Pat
Lockenhour of Lincoln, and Janet “Pete” Luckhart of
Lincoln, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren,
nieces, and nephews.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; her
husband; three sons, Jim Curry, David Curry, Michael
Curry; one step-son, Scott Treatch; three brothers,
Bob, Jack, and Swede Ritchhart; and one sister, Jean
Berglin. |
Nancy was a member of LCHS of 1952.
She was a member of the American Legion & VFW
Auxiliary. Nancy had several hobbies including
Hummingbirds, her beloved St. Louis Cardinals, and
portraying “Gerti” the clown for children who were
in hospitals. Above all else, Nancy loved her
family, especially her grandchildren.
A Graveside Service for Nancy will be held at
11:00am on Friday, June 24, 2022, at New Union
Cemetery in Lincoln, with Ryan Edgecombe
officiating. All family and friends are welcome to
attend.
Memorial donations can be made in Nancy’s name to
The Ronald McDonald House Charities of Springfield,
IL, or the donor’s choice.
Services have been entrusted to
