| Pinch hitter Alejandro Kirk singled to lead off the bottom of 
				the ninth against Tyler Danish (2-1), and George Springer 
				walked. Hansel Robles replaced Danish and allowed Bo Bichette's 
				single that scored pinch runner Bradley Zimmer to tie the game 
				to set up Guerrero's winning hit.
 
 Jordan Romano (2-2) pitched around a walk in the top of the 
				ninth. Toronto starter Ross Stripling allowed two runs in five 
				innings, while Boston's Michael Wacha gave up four runs in five 
				innings.
 
 Rob Refsnyder hit a two-run home run and Trevor Story added a 
				solo shot for the Red Sox, who have lost the first two games of 
				the three-game series.
 
 Astros 9, Mets 1
 
 Framber Valdez tossed eight shutout innings and Yordan Alvarez, 
				Yuli Gurriel and Kyle Tucker homered as visiting Houston 
				pummeled New York.
 
 Alvarez had three hits and reached base five times for Houston, 
				and Alex Bregman also contributed three hits. Valdez (8-3) 
				allowed six hits, walked two and struck out five as the Astros 
				won for the sixth time in eight games.
 
 New York's Starling Marte had three hits, including two doubles. 
				Carlos Carrasco (8-4) yielded six runs in 4 1/3 innings as the 
				Mets lost for just the third time in their past 16 home games.
 
 Mariners 2, Orioles 0
 
 Jesse Winker hit a tiebreaking, two-run double with two outs in 
				the eighth inning as Seattle beat visiting Baltimore.
 
 With two outs in the decisive eighth, J.P. Crawford lined a 
				single off Cionel Perez (4-1). Felix Bautista came on to face 
				Julio Rodriguez, who hit a one-hopper off the pitcher's leg and 
				beat a diving tag attempt by first baseman Ryan Mountcastle. 
				Winker then hit a deep drive to right, scoring both runners.
 
 Diego Castillo (5-1) pitched the eighth and Paul Sewald worked 
				the ninth for his seventh save to wrap up Seattle's one-hitter. 
				The Orioles' lone hit was a fourth-inning, line-drive single to 
				right field by Mountcastle off Mariners starter Robbie Ray, who 
				threw seven sharp innings.
 
 Rockies 7, Dodgers 4
 
 Charlie Blackmon went 4-for-5 with two runs and one RBI as 
				Colorado roughed up Clayton Kershaw while beating Los Angeles in 
				Denver.
 
 Randal Grichuk and Elias Diaz smacked homers off Kershaw as the 
				Rockies topped the Dodgers for the second straight night and 
				fourth time in five 2022 meetings. Kyle Freeland (4-5) limited 
				Los Angeles to three runs in six innings.
 
 Kershaw (5-2) lasted just four innings and allowed season worsts 
				of six runs and nine hits. Hanser Alberto, Max Muncy and Trea 
				Turner hit solo homers for the Dodgers, who have lost three of 
				their past four games.
 
 Guardians 3, Twins 2 (Game 1)
 
 Amed Rosario's two-run single in the eighth inning was the 
				difference as host Cleveland snapped a five-game losing streak 
				with a victory over Minnesota in the opening game of a 
				doubleheader.
 
 Rosario's clutch hit drove in Myles Straw and Steven Kwan, both 
				of whom had walked off Twins reliever Emilio Pagan (1-3). Both 
				runners had moved into scoring position on a wild pitch. Rosario 
				finished 3-for-4 with one run and two RBIs.
 
 Guardians reliever Sam Hentges (2-0) failed to hold the lead in 
				the eighth inning but earned the victory anyway. The left-hander 
				allowed a leadoff home run to Carlos Correa, which snapped a 1-1 
				tie. Correa's ninth of the season gave him a home run in each of 
				the first two games of the series.
 
 Twins 6, Guardians 0 (Game 2)
 
 Jorge Polanco made his return to Minnesota's lineup with a 
				two-run home run and three RBIs as the visiting Twins topped 
				Cleveland in the second game of the doubleheader.
 
 The Guardians have been shut out four times this season, twice 
				in the past week.
 
 Minnesota starter Josh Winder (3-2), called up as the Twins' 
				27th man for the doubleheader, performed like a seasoned 
				veteran. The right-hander pitched six scoreless innings and 
				allowed four hits and one walk. He struck out one.
 
 Brewers 5, Rays 3
 
 Andrew McCutchen and Luis Urias hit two-run home runs in the 
				sixth inning and Brandon Woodruff struck out 10 as Milwaukee 
				rallied past Tampa Bay in St. Petersburg, Fla.
 
 Kolten Wong had a hit and scored two runs in his return from the 
				injured list as the Brewers won for the fourth time in the past 
				five games. Woodruff (6-3) tossed five innings of one-run ball 
				in his return from the injured list.
 
 Randy Arozarena had an RBI single and Wander Franco added a 
				run-scoring fly ball for the Rays, whose three-game winning 
				streak ended.
 
 Nationals 3, Pirates 1
 
 Pinch hitter Yadiel Hernandez smacked a two-run double with two 
				outs in the eighth inning to lift Washington to a win against 
				Pittsburgh.
 
 The Nationals' Josh Bell beat out an infield hit leading off the 
				eighth against Wil Crowe (3-5). After Nelson Cruz struck out, 
				Luis Garcia pinch-hit for Maikel Franco and grounded into a 
				fielder's choice. Cesar Hernandez drew a walk and Yadiel 
				Hernandez sent a 0-1 changeup just beyond the reach of right 
				fielder Diego Castillo and to the wall.
 
 Patrick Corbin (4-10) gave up one run on five hits and two walks 
				in eight innings. He threw 113 pitches and struck out 12 
				batters, his most since joining Washington in 2019 and matching 
				his career high.
 
 White Sox 11, Angels 4
 
 Chicago erupted for 17 hits -- including three each from Tim 
				Anderson, Luis Robert and Jose Abreu -- in a rout of Los Angeles 
				at Anaheim, Calif.
 
 White Sox starter Johnny Cueto (2-4) gave up three solo homers 
				but otherwise kept the Angels off the scoreboard and managed to 
				work his way through six innings. Josh Harrison and Robert went 
				deep for Chicago.
 
 Andrew Velazquez, Mike Trout and Shohei Ohtani homered for the 
				Angels, and Ohtani added two doubles. Reliever Oliver Ortega 
				(1-3) took the loss.
 
 Yankees 2, A's 1
 
 Rookie JP Sears pitched 5 2/3 effective innings in his second 
				successful spot start of the season and host New York held on 
				for a victory over Oakland.
 
 Sears (3-0) was called up from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre so 
				the Yankees could give their five starters an extra day of rest. 
				He allowed three hits, struck out one and walked one. He threw 
				78 pitches and recorded nine of his 17 outs via groundouts while 
				also getting help from his defense.
 
 Oakland starter Frankie Montas (4-7) allowed two runs on four 
				hits in six innings. He struck out seven and walked two. Tuesday 
				marked the eighth time in his past 11 starts that the A's scored 
				one run or none.
 
 Braves 5, Phillies 3
 
 Matt Olson hit two home runs, Travis d'Arnaud homered, singled 
				and drove in two runs and Atlanta won at Philadelphia.
 
 Collin McHugh (1-1) earned the win in relief, and A.J. Minter 
				threw a scoreless ninth inning to pick up his first save. The 
				Braves won for the sixth time in nine games.
 
 Kyle Schwarber hit a solo home run and walked twice for the 
				Phillies, who fell for just the seventh time in June. Andrew 
				Bellatti (1-3) took the loss.
 
 Cardinals 5, Marlins 3
 
 Dylan Carlson drove in two runs and scored once as St. Louis 
				rallied past visiting Miami.
 
 Tommy Edman went 2-for-4 with an RBI and two runs for St. Louis, 
				and Edmundo Sosa hit a run-scoring triple and scored a run.
 
 Cardinals starter Dakota Hudson (6-4) allowed three runs on six 
				hits and a walk in five innings. Junior Fernandez followed with 
				two scoreless innings, Giovanny Gallegos handled the eighth 
				inning, and Ryan Helsley struck out the side in the ninth to 
				earn his sixth save.
 
 Rangers 8, Royals 3
 
 Marcus Semien had three hits, including a three-run home run, 
				and scored three runs as visiting Texas defeated Kansas City.
 
 Semien drove in four runs, and Corey Seager had a pair of hits 
				and drove in two. Rangers starter Jon Gray (4-3) allowed one run 
				on five hits in a season-high-tying seven innings. He walked two 
				and struck out eight.
 
 Royals starter Jonathan Heasley (1-4) allowed seven runs on nine 
				hits in 3 2/3 innings.
 
 Reds 5, Cubs 3
 
 Luis Castillo struck out a season-high 11 over six scoreless 
				innings and Jonathan India clubbed a three-run homer in the 
				seventh as Cincinnati held off host Chicago.
 
 Castillo (3-4) yielded five hits and three walks while throwing 
				a career-high 123 pitches. The right-hander got Yan Gomes to fly 
				out and strand the bases loaded in the sixth on his final pitch.
 
 The teams struck out a combined 27 times, with Cubs leadoff 
				hitter Christopher Morel fanning four times.
 
 Diamondbacks 7, Padres 6
 
 Josh Rojas raced home from second base in the ninth inning when 
				the Padres failed to convert a two-out grounder into a forceout 
				as Arizona rallied from a six-run deficit to defeat San Diego in 
				Phoenix.
 
 The Diamondbacks trailed 6-0 before scoring four times in the 
				seventh inning, then pulled level in the eighth on back-to-back 
				RBI hit batters.
 
 Jorge Alfaro capped San Diego's six-run fifth inning with a 
				three-run double off Diamondbacks starter Zac Gallen.
 
 Giants 4, Tigers 3
 
 Evan Longoria and Mike Yastrzemski stroked two-out, two-run hits 
				and closer Camilo Doval stranded the bases loaded in the eighth 
				inning as San Francisco held on to beat visiting Detroit.
 
 Longoria hit a first-inning single off Tigers starter Tarik 
				Skubal (5-6) that scored Wilmer Flores and Joc Pederson. Skubal, 
				who was pulled after 4 2/3 innings, was charged with three runs 
				on four hits. He walked four and struck out five.
 
 Giants starter Carlos Rodon (7-4) lost a shutout bid in the 
				sixth on a two-out RBI single by Miguel Cabrera. The left-hander 
				called it a night after six innings, having limited the Tigers 
				to one run on seven hits. He struck out four and did not issue a 
				walk.
