U.S. and European companies that have begun offering aid to
Ukraine and people fleeing the war following Russia's invasion.
Russia calls its actions in Ukraine a "special operation".
Wells Fargo's donation will go to the American Red Cross, World
Central Kitchen and the United Service Organizations, which
supports American service members in Eastern Europe, according
to the lender.
Bank of America is spreading its donation across five groups -
the Red Cross and Red Crescent network in Ukraine and the
region, World Central Kitchen, Cooperative for Assistance and
Relief Everywhere, International Medical Corps and Project Hope.
The banks also said they will match employee donations to
support relief in Ukraine.
