Charles Lee Hildabrand 4/19/31 -
2/19/22
Charles Lee Hildabrand, 90, of St. Petersburg, FL,
formerly of Lincoln, passed away peacefully on
Saturday, February 19, 2022 at The Springs of Boca
Ciega Bay.
A graveside service will be held in New Union
Cemetery on Thursday, March 10, 2022 at 10 a.m. with
Brian Wachendorf officiating. There will be a
luncheon afterwards at the American Legion in
Lincoln. Services are being provided by Fricke,
Calvert, Schrader Funeral Home.
“Charlie” was born on April 19, 1931 in Logan
County, KY, the son of Jesse Sr. and Zula (Anderson)
Hildabrand. He was a United States Air Force Veteran
serving from 1951-1954. While stationed in Germany,
he met and married Mathilde Perzl April 9, 1954 in
Munich and she preceded him in death in 1994. He
later married Mary Davis in Ft. Myers, FL in 2003
and she survives.
Charles was employed at Eaton Corp.
in Lincoln for 35 years; retiring in 1993. He
enjoyed Nascar and always felt the “need for speed”.
He also enjoyed traveling across the country in his
RV. |
Survivors include his son, Rick
Hildabrand (Christina) of Gulfport, FL, his
daughter, Cindy Hildabrand of Harrisburg, PA,
grandsons, Adam and Dylan Hildabrand of Gulfport, FL
and a step-daughter, Dawn Gessner of Dayton, OH. He
is also survived by a sister, Mary Gasaway of
Overland Park, KS, a brother, Alfred Hildabrand of
Nashville, TN, and several loving nieces and
nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife
Mathilde, brother Jesse Jr., and brother, Jerry.
