Honeybears win 7th grade Regional Championship 

[March 07, 2022] The Mount Pulaski Honeybears won the Class 7-2A Regional Championship over Buffalo Tri-City 25-12 and 25-20 last week and will advance to tonight’s Sectional matchup with Central A & M.

The Honeybears (12-4) will play Central A & M at 6:30 p.m. in Assumption.

Mount Pulaski volleyball coach Whitney Nichols provided these stats and comments about her team:

Ella Martin (5th Grade): 8 Kills - Hit .500 against Tri-City

          ⁃        Ella is a middle hitter who starts both 7th & 8th grade.

Audrey Cooper (7th Grade): 15 Assists, 6 Service Aces

          ⁃        Audrey sets both 7th & 8th grade. She is a lefty where she has become quite the weapon for her team.

Addison Brown (7th Grade): 3 Kills, 4 Digs 

          ⁃        Addison is an outside hitter who has improved immensely on her offensive/defensive game.

Karsyn Wilham (7th Grade): 3 Service Aces

          ⁃        Karsyn finds herself in the libero jersey. She has one of the best platforms on the team all while heavily contributing on the serve receive game.

Starters for 7th Grade: 

Claire Bobell (7th), Addison Brown (7th), Jessi Wade (7th), Audrey Cooper (7th), Olivia Smith (6th), & Ella Martin (5th).
