Obituary
Judith J. Brandon, 79, of Lincoln,
passed away at her home on Tuesday, March 2, 2022.
Memorial services will be held at a later date.
Cremation Rites have been accorded.
Judith Jane Jones was born August 28, 1942, in Vine
Grove, Kentucky, the daughter of William and
Elizabeth Padgett Jones. She was united in marriage
to Richard L. Brandon on Feb. 9, 1991, in Las Vegas.
He survives.
Judith is also survived by her children: Kevin
(Peggy) Bateman and Bryan (Melissa) Bateman; one
step-son: Brian Brandon; 14 grandchildren; 9
great-grandchildren; one sister: Twila Groft; one
niece and one nephew.
She was preceded in death by her
parents; one grandson: Jeremy Bateman; and one
step-daughter: Jodi Lynne Brandon. |
Judith was a 1960 graduate of Mercy
Academy in Louisville, KY. She was a home day care
provider prior to working for the Secretary of
State’s Office in Springfield, from which she
retired. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic
Church in Lincoln. She enjoyed quilting, gardening,
and her two yorkies.
Memorials may be made to an organization of the
donor’s choice.
Final arrangements are entrusted with Peasley
Funeral Home of Lincoln.
