Mason City Arlee Theater to host annual soup lunch March 27th

[March 17, 2022]    The Arlee Theater is bringing back its annual soup lunch on Sunday, March 27. Hosted at the American Legion Hall at 110 W. Court Street in Mason City.  The event will feature ten types of soup, some homemade and some from restaurants around Central Illinois.

The soup donor list includes:  Do Drop Inn Café, Smokey’s Bar and Grill, and Guzzardo’s.

A donation is requested for admission, and all meals will be carry-out.

The event will run from 11 am – 1 pm on Sunday, March 27. Each meal includes soup and a dessert—guest’s choice of Gaye’s legendary cinnamon rolls or a mouth-watering chocolate chip cookie courtesy of Subway.

Funds raised will assist with the continuing restoration process of the Arlee. After last year’s surprisingly large turnout, efforts have been made to ensure significantly more food is prepared this year to avoid running out before everyone has been served.
