West Lincoln Broadwell, Mount Pulaski, Chester-East Lincoln win opening state play in 8th Grade Volleyball

[March 19, 2022]    The trio of local 8th grade volleyball teams all won their opening rounds at their respective IESA State Volleyball Tournaments yesterday.

In 8-1A competition, the West Lincoln Broadwell Lady Wolverines defeated Peoria Limestone Walters 25-19 and 25-21 to advance. WLB (20-2) will play Decatur Lutheran (19-4) this morning at 11:00 a.m. in Assumption.

In 8-2A competition, the Chester-East Lincoln Panthers defeated Gardner 25-12 and 25-10 to advance. CEL (16-5) will play Albion (19-4) today at 12:15 p.m. in Auburn.

Also in 8-2A competition, the Mount Pulaski Honeybears defeated Colchester West Prairie 25-19 and 29-27 to advance. Mount Pulaski (13-11) will play Bloomington Corpus Christi (25-1) today at 11:00 a.m. in Auburn.
