[May 10, 2022]
This Saturday, May 14, 2022, will be the annual Postal Food Drive,
hosted by the Lincoln Post Office. This food drive was not held in
2020 or 2021 because of Covid.
Local mail carriers will be delivering plastic grocery bags from
Lincoln IGA later this week. People can put their food donations in
the bags and put the bags near their mailboxes on Saturday.
The carriers will pick up the bags and take them to the post office,
volunteers will weigh the food, and the food will be given to the
participating food pantries. The participating pantries are Lincoln
Logan Food Pantry, Holy Family/Catholic Charities, The Salvation
Army, and Jefferson Street Christian Church Food Pantry.

There is a tremendous need for food for the pantries. There are very many hungry
people in our community. Every donation, every can or box of food given, stays
in Lincoln/Logan County. Please help the mail carriers and the food pantries get
the pantries stocked to help our neighbors.

Postal Food Drive]
