A short drive in any direction affords an
eyeful of beauty as trees and shrubs are awakening with shocks of
spring-green tipped trees and shrubbery, wide expanses filled with
vivid green grasses, patches of ground are hallowed in purple and
yellow blooms spreading over the country side.
To Lincoln's south, Elkhart merchants in the downtown have raked and
swept walkways and corners, sprucing up the charming downtown.
Last weekend Severe weather threatened the annual Elkhart Spring
Fling. But merchants will still welcome you with shops in the
downtown open Wednesday through Saturday each week.

You will find wonderful nostalgic and new trend treasures at the
Wild Hare, Country Bumpkin, Bird Song and other shops. The new Illinois Products
on the corner offers the best in foods and artistic products that are grown or
made in Illinois; and everywhere you will find great prices and welcoming
merchants and personable service.
So enjoy a scenic trip through the country and put Elkhart as one of your places
to stop a while.
