Habitat for Humanity of Logan County to host multiple fundraisers this summer and fall

[May 20, 2022]     The board of directors of the Habitat for Humanity of Logan County recently held a Groundbreaking Program for the 27th home build to be completed in 2023 by the Lincoln Community High School/Lincolnland Technical Education Center Building and Trades classes.

Funding for the build and another project still in the planning stages will be a factor in what can be accomplished.

With funds needed to move forward, the HFHLC will be hosting some fundraising activities.

Habitat For Humanity of Logan County will participate in the Route 66 Garage Sale on the weekend of June 10-11 with the HFHLC Warehouse. The warehouse will be open extended hours on Friday June 10th from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday, June 11th from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The sale will include a $5 box sale, plus all other items in the warehouse from furniture and fixtures to hardware and spare building materials will be available.

 HFHLC will be selling Raffle tickets for a drawing for a ‘$50. IGA gift card. Tickets are $1 each or 6 chances for $5. Tickets will be available during the garage sale weekend or from local board members Bob Chamberlain, Doug Graff, Dean Leesman, Carrie Osborn, Tonita Reifsteck, Jane Ryan, Laura Sandrolini, Cathy Tiffany, Laura Tomlinson, Jamie Voyles and other supporters.

Tickets are also on sale now during the warehouse regular “store hours” Wednesday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. and Saturday’s from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The drawing will be held during the monthly board meeting at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, July 5th.

All proceeds go into the fund for building the next Habitat Homes in Logan County.

Another fundraiser will be held at IGA on Saturday, October 22, 2022.
