							Wanda Louise Brown-Gerdes, 90, of Ft. 
							Myers, Florida, formally of Lincoln, peacefully 
							passed away on April 19, 2022, at the Larsen Health 
							Center, Shell Point Retirement Community in Ft. 
							Myers, Florida.
 She was born on September 25, 1931, in Decatur, the 
							daughter of Clinton and Verda (Lewis) Young. Wanda 
							was the Chief Radiology Technician at Abraham 
							Lincoln Memorial Hospital for 21 years. She was a 
							member of the Catholic Church. She belonged to the 
							Lincoln Elks Club where she served as the President 
							of the Emblem Club. She was an avid golfer scoring 
							two holes in one in her lifetime. She enjoyed 
							playing bridge with the ladies, mah jongg, word 
							puzzles, reading, knitting and crocheting, gardening 
							and the arts.
 
 Wanda was preceded in death by her parents; her 
							husband, James; her first husband, Joseph Brown; her 
							grandchild, Jason Richner; and her sister, Norma 
							Seitz. She is survived by her children Jennifer 
							(Michael) Richner, Mt. Pulaski, Illinois; Jeffery 
							(Melody) Brown, Columbia Kentucky; Jill Eades, 
							Cornland, Illinois and Jan (Jim) Litterly, Elkhart, 
							Illinois; her brother David (Caroline) Young; her 
							grandchildren Stefanie, Justin, Joshua, Jayme, 
							Allison, Jake and Luke; and eleven great 
							grandchildren.
 
 A memorial service was held at the Shell Point 
							Retirement Community, Ft. Myers, Florida where she 
							was a resident.
 
 Wanda will be laid to rest in Mount Pulaski. A 
							memorial service will be held at 10:30 am on May 21, 
							2022, at the Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home, 
							Mount Pulaski, where family will receive friends 
							beginning at 9:30 am. Interment will be held at the 
							Mount Pulaski Cemetery following the memorial 
							service.
 
 In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be 
							made to the American Heart Association, 7272 
							Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75231; Shell Point 
							Tribby Arts Center, 15010 Shell Point Boulevard, Ft.
