Offensively the Lady Railers didn’t waste any time, getting on
the board with two runs in the top of the first inning. Abbie
Glenn drove in the two runs with a bunt single.
Lincoln scored two more runs in the top of the fourth inning on
a bunt sacrifice by Ryen Stoltzenburg.
Cassie Bridge scored on a passed ball in the top of the fifth
inning to bring the score to 5-0.
The offense scored seven runs in the top of the sixth inning,
with a little help from the Eagles pitcher. Six walks and two
hit by pitches kept the bases occupied by Lincoln runners. The
only two hits in the inning were run-scoring singles by Farnam
and Taryn Stoltzenburg.
The Lady Railers walked their way to the 12-0 win in six
innings.
Cara Farnam led the Lady Railers offense with two hits. Farnam
also drove in two runs and scored two runs.
Taryn Stoltzenburg, Cassie Bridge and Abbie Glenn each had a hit
for Lincoln.
Ryen Stoltzenburg also had three RBIs for the Lady Railers.
The Lady Railers improved to 21-12 on the season.
Regional play will begin next week.
