TextThe
Shelter Insurance Foundation awarded two $1,500 scholarships. The
recipients were Grace Mathon a graduate of Lincoln Community High
School and Aiden Schneider a graduate of Mount Pulaski High School.
Shelter Agent Corey Leonard sponsors and partially funds these
scholarships.
|
Beginning the fall after the recipient’s high school graduation
Grace and Aiden can direct the scholarship funds toward tuition,
fees or campus housing for any course of study and leading to an
academic degree at any accredited college of university.
Committees of local high school officials and community leaders
selected the local recipients. The committees considered each
applicant’s scholastic achievements, educational goals, citizenship,
moral character, and participation and leadership in school
community activities. The scholarships are given without regard to
race, disability, religion, national origin, or gender of
applicants.
