Lincoln Daily News
welcomes letters of appreciation, information and
opinion on matters pertaining to the community.
Controversial issues:
As a
community we need to be able to talk openly about
matters that affect the quality of our lives. The
most effective and least offensive manner to get
your point across is to stick to the issue
and refrain from commenting on another person's
opinion. Letters that deviate from focusing on the
issue may be rejected or edited and marked as such.

To the editor: The Lincoln
Postal Food Drive was held Saturday, May 14. It was truly a success!
Lincoln postal carriers collected over 7,500 pounds of food. The
food was divided among Holy Family/Catholic Charities, Lincoln Logan
Food Pantry, Jefferson Street Christian Church, and the Salvation
Army.
The Lincoln postal carriers are very thankful for the generosity of
those who donated food, IGA for the donation of the grocery bags,
the volunteers who gave their time and effort, and the Lincoln Daily
News for helping publicize the food drive.
Thank you all for all of your help!!
Cathy Jones
Coordinator, Lincoln Postal Food Drive
