Kenneth was born on September 13, 1937, in Owasso, MI, the son of William Kenneth and Nellie (Hoke) Schwab. He married Mary “Margo” Culp on August 30, 1958, in Webster Groves, MO.

He is survived by his wife, Margo; his daughters, Kimberly (Kevin) Hubbard, Kathy Mara, Kendall (Tad) Martin, Courtney (Chris) Patel; and ten grandchildren.

Kenneth is preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Stanley.

Kenneth graduated from the University of Illinois with a degree in Agriculture. He was also part of the Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity.

Kenneth served on the Board of St. Clara’s Manor, was a life-time Elk member, enjoyed the Lincoln Rotary, and served on the Chamber of Commerce Board. After selling Area Disposal, Kenneth became the first Logan, Mason, and Menard County Solid Waste Recycling Coordinator. He was president of Illinois Solid Waste.

Kenneth loved football, arm wrestling, boating, traveling, and especially his annual Kentucky Lake Family week with three to four generations present.

We, the Schwab Family, would like to thank all the staff and caregivers at The Christian Village and Safe Haven Hospice for their care and compassion, and to Brittney Cosby for her exceptional care to Kenneth and all our family.
