Obituary
Dorothy Edith Geary, 94, of
Lincoln, passed away October 25, 2022, at St.
Clara's Manor.
Private family services were held at Holland Barry &
Bennett Funeral Home.
Dorothy was born March 24, 1928, in Falls of Rough,
KY., the daughter of William Salmon and Beulah (Woosley)
Salmon. She married William A. Geary March 10, 1944.
He preceded her in death August 12, 1996.
Dorothy never worked outside of
the home. She raised seven children and cared for
the home. She was an excellent gardener. Because of
her green thumb, her home and yard were filled with
beautiful plants and flowers of all kinds.
She was a member of Eminence
Christian Church in Atlanta for many years and more
recently was a member of Lincoln Church of Christ.
Dorothy had a strong faith in God and that was
evident in her gentle nature.

Survivors include her children: Sue Smith, Diane (Ron) Schriber,
Janet Hiett, Steven (Joyce) Geary, and Shelly Griffith; grandchildren: Lisa,
Jason, Kevin, Kimberly, Jeffrey, Stephanie, Amanda, and Cody;
great-grandchildren: Mercedes, Zachary, Maza, Natalie, Drew, and Chloe; and
great-great-grandchildren Emerson and Easton.
She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Dorothy was preceded
by her parents, her husband, sons Daniel Geary and Joseph Geary, brothers Lloyd
Salmon and Oneill Salmon, and sisters Lucinda Miller and Shella White.
