Mount Pulaski finished the tournament in 5th
place with a 2-2 tournament record.
The Lady Toppers jumped out to a 15-5 lead in the first quarter
as Alexis Wade and Alyson Murphy each led the team with six
points. Je’Na Rentmeister contributed a 3 in the quarter.
By halftime the lead grew to 32-12, with the Lady Toppers
finding a groove from the three-point line. Grace Davis, Wade
and Murphy each hit 3s in the quarter.
Mount Pulaski padded the lead a little bit more in the third
quarter and led 40-15 behind eight points from Wade.
Murphy’s 3 was the only bucket for Mount Pulaski in the fourth
quarter as the team went on to win 43-23 over the hosts.
Alexis Wade led all scorers with 21 points. She also had 5
steals.
Alyson Murphy had 12 points and 4 rebounds.
Grace Davis had 7 points and 7 rebounds.
The 9th Annual Turkey Tussle Tournament was won by PORTA.
