The Mount Pulaski Hilltoppers lost to Auburn
62-36 Friday night in the 12th Annual Bill Rucks Varsity Boys
Basketball Tournament.
The Trojans held the Hilltoppers down in the first quarter and
commanded a 14-2 lead.
At the half, the Trojans were cruising with a 37-14 lead.
By the end of the third quarter, Mount Pulaski was trailing
54-26.
Auburn goes on to win 62-36, leaving the Hilltoppers still
searching for their first win on the season.
Clay Aylesworth led the Hilltoppers with 12 points.
Jackson Kern led the Trojans with 30 points scored in three
quarters.
Mount Pulaski falls to 0-3 on the season.
The Hilltoppers will play Edinburg this afternoon at 3:30 p.m.
