Lady Toppers go 2-3 in the Shelbyville/Pana Invitational Tournament

Mount Pulaski won two games on Friday night in the Shelbyville/Pana Invitational Tournament but dropped three games on Saturday to finish with a 2-3 record in the tournament.

Mount Pulaski earned two-set victories over Shelbyville and the Pana JV team Friday night. The Lady Toppers beat Shelbyville 26-24 and 25-17 and then defeated Pana’s JV team 25-11 and 25-16.

Saturday was a tough day for the Lady Toppers. They lost in three sets to St. Thomas More, 25-18, 20-25 and 11-15. Mount Pulaski then lost to Windsor 15-25 and 13-25. In their final game of the day, the Lady Toppers fell to Pana in three close sets, 25-27, 25-21and 23-25.

After going 2-3 for the weekend, the Lady Toppers now have a 15-8 record on the season.

Mount Pulaski will play at Springfield High School on Thursday night.
