Former 11-year NBA pro Ben
Gordon was arrested at New York's LaGuardia Airport on Monday for
allegedly striking his 10-year-old son with a closed fist, the New
York Post and TMZ reported.
Charges are pending, according to the reports. Gordon was prevented
from boarding his flight to Chicago and arrested, per the reports,
which noted that his son was taken to Long Island Jewish Children's
Hospital for evaluation and placed in the care of an aunt.
TMZ reported that even prior to the incident, the child had a
restraining order in effect against Gordon. TMZ also reported that
Gordon resisted arrest, with the Post reporting that two officers
sustained minor injuries during the arrest.
