[October 13, 2022]  LINCOLN - John W. Ingram Sr., 87, of Lincoln, passed away at his home on Sunday, October 2, 2022.

Visitation: Sunday, October 9, 2022, from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the Armington Christian Church.

Service: Monday, October 10, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. at the church

Obituary

John W. Ingram Sr., 87, of Lincoln, passed away at his home on Sunday, October 2, 2022.

Funeral Services for Mr. Ingram will be held on Monday, October 10, 2022, at 1 p.m. at the Armington Christian Church with Mr. Tyler Escobas officiating. Burial will be in New Union Cemetery in Lincoln. Military Rites will be accorded by American Legion Post #263.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 9, 2022, from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. at the Armington Christian Church.

John William Ingram was born on January 12, 1935, in Lincoln, the son of Carl B. Ingram and Mary Wilke Ingram. He was united in marriage to Roberta Louise Benedict on April 17, 1954. She preceded him in death on May 12, 2021.

He is survived by his children: John W. (Cathy) Ingram, Jr., Theresa (John) McDannald, Kelly (Tracy) Ingram-Teutsch; two sisters: Penny Steinquist and Joyce (Paul) Mauraro; seven grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral Director

He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, two sisters, and three brothers.

John proudly served in the United States Army. He retired from Harold Goodman Farms and was an automotive mechanic. His hobbies included camping, fishing, working on anything mechanical, woodworking, and telling stories with his grandchildren, great-grandchildren and faithful companion, “Pete.”

Memorials may be made to Armington Christian Church.

Final arrangements are entrusted with Peasley Funeral Home.
