Logan County Department of Public Health to offer newly approved pediatric covid-19 vaccine

[October 21, 2022]  New pediatric COVID-19 vaccines have been approved for children under age 5.

Beginning July 12th, the Logan County Department of Public Health (LCDPH) is offering the Pfizer pediatric vaccine for ages 6 months through age 4 (Tuesdays only) and the Moderna (Spikevax) vaccine for children ages 6 months through age 5 (Thursdays only). Clients for all COVID-19 vaccines will be seen on a first come, first-served basis from 7:45am until 3:45pm.

LCDPH provides the Pfizer vaccine (ages 5 and up) on Tuesdays, Johnson & Johnson (ages 18 and up) on Wednesdays, and Moderna (ages 18 and up) on Thursdays. Please plan to visit the clinic on the day your vaccine choice is provided. No appointment is necessary.

LCDPH urges the public to get vaccinated for COVID-19 as the vaccine is an effective means of protection against infection and severe infection which can require hospitalization.
