Obituary
Faye Gresham, 94, of Atlanta, passed
away early in the morning on October 21, 2022, at
her home.
Funeral services for Faye will be held on Wednesday,
October 26, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at the Atlanta
Christian Church with visitation before the service
from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. Her three grandsons
will officiate. Burial will follow at the Atlanta
Cemetery.
Eudena Faye Boward was born in Middletown to Carl
and Lucille Prince Boward on January 4, 1928. She
married Delbert Gresham on January 29, 1946, in
Lincoln. He preceded her in death.
Surviving family include a daughter, Debbie (Alan)
Siltman of Atlanta; grandsons Michael (Tonya) of
Middletown, Brian (Deb) of Atlanta, and Shaun
(Crystal) of Mt. Pulaski; 12 great-grandchildren:
Brady (Ashley), Whitney, Shawn (Danielle), Alexis,
Elijah (Morgan), Katelyn (Matt), Izzy, Supitcha,
Ana, Henry, Julius and Andre; and four
great-great-grandchildren: Gavin, Bella, Mason and
Raelynn. |
Faye was preceded in death by her
husband in 2014; one daughter, Judith Charron in
2015; and by siblings Carl Vincent, Clyde, Harry,
Loren and Cecil. She was the last living member of
her family.
She enjoyed quilting, reading, and crossword
puzzles. She very much enjoyed her employment of 30
years in the OB department of Abraham Lincoln
Memorial Hospital, from which she retired in 1988.
After hospital retirement she worked in home health
care. Most of all she loved her family and all the
get-togethers. She was a longtime member of Atlanta
Christian Church.
Memorials may be made to the Atlanta Rescue Squad,
Atlanta Christian Church or the donor’s choice.
Final arrangements are entrusted with Quiram-Peasley
Funeral Home of Atlanta.
