The
Thursday Pink Shirt picture is that of the veterinary
and staff at Timbercrest Veterinary Services in Lincoln.
The group includes a sweet little dog that is a part of
the Timbercrest family. Many folks have pets they love
with all their hearts, and sometimes those same folks
will tell you their animals are their best friends and
the ones they trust to always be there for them and
listen to them.
Research has shown that pets, both dogs and cats are
often a source of comfort for those battling cancer.
In today's edition is an article from the American
Cancer Society about the role of pets in the cancer
battle. The article speaks about the positive impact,
but also encourages warriors to be sure their pets are
well taken care of, in good health, and have a safe
place to go when the patient has to be away from them.
