            | To the editor: The American
Legion Auxiliary Poppy Day was a great success. It could have not
been possible without the help and support of many.
We would like to thank the City of Lincoln, Lincoln IGA, Walmart,
Farm and Home, Ace Hardware and the Country Aire at Atlanta for
allowing us to distribute the poppies at their businesses.
The American Legion was also a big part in our
success. We would also like to thank those great volunteers that
took time out of their holiday weekend to help. A big “Thank You” to
all those that donated for the poppies.

The proceeds from “Poppy Day” goes to our many
Veterans’ projects, especially those locally. It is in a small way
that we can say “Thanks” to all who served! When you see a veteran,
shake their hand and say “Thank You for Your Service”! Diane FarmerAmerican Legion Auxiliary
