Society to host anniversary event Sunday, September 18th in
Middletown

LINCOLN
- Knapp/Chestnut/Becker Historical Society in Middletown, will be
celebrating its 30th Anniversary and the 20th Anniversary of the
dedication of the KCB Museum and Library on Sunday, September 18,
2022, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

The event will be held at the Museum and Library,
101 Clinton Street, Middletown. Refreshments will be served.
Colby Knapp, a previous owner of the building, will be in
attendance. Mr. Knapp will be portrayed by Steve Martin, site
manager of the Mt. Pulaski Courthouse.
The K/C/B Museum and Library building was built in 1840 and is
the oldest brick building in Logan County.
“It was used as a dwelling as well as a store, and was at one
time the largest store in this part of the state.”

A book sale and tour of the building will also be included in the
celebration activities.
Please come and help us celebrate on Sunday, September 18th from 2 p.m. to 4
