[September 17, 2022]  ATLANTA - William J. Albert, 90, of Atlanta, passed away on Friday, September 2, 2022, at Lincoln Memorial Hospital.

Visitation:  9 a.m. to 11 a.m.on Friday, September 9, 2022, at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln

Service:  11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home

Obituary

William J. Albert, 90, of Atlanta, passed away on Friday, September 2, 2022, at Lincoln Memorial Hospital.

William was born on March 15, 1932, in Peoria, the son of Emerick and Augusta (Neka) Albert. He married Dolores Ann Bartmann on January 10, 1954, in Lincoln. She preceded in him in death on December 15, 2018.

William is survived by three sons, Thomas (Cathy) Albert, Jack (Dawn Holmes) Albert, and Bill (Lisa) Albert; his daughter, Patty (John) Arnfelt; his brother, Robert (Beverly) Albert; 16 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife; one son, Donald; two daughters-in-law, Connie, and Susie; and one granddaughter, Melissa Sue O’Loughlin.

William enjoyed playing dominoes and bingo.

A memorial service for William will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 9, 2022, at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln. Visitation will take place two hours prior to the service (9:00-11:00 a.m.) also at the funeral home. Burial in Zion Cemetery will take place at 10:00am on Wednesday, September 14, 2022. Memorials may be name in William’s name to Zion Lutheran School or The Christian Village Congregate Building.
