							Frances K. “Fran” Petersen, 76, of 
							Lincoln, passed away on Thursday, September 8, 2022, 
							at Springfield Memorial Hospital. 
							 
							Fran was born November 26, 1945, in Lincoln, to 
							Stephen “Bud” and Martha (Klockenga) Sloan. She 
							married Lester “Pete” Petersen on June 24, 1987, in 
							Las Vegas, NV. He preceded her in death on July 22, 
							2002. 
							 
							She is survived by her daughter, Tina (Harold) 
							Hinds; one grandson, Devan (Jessica) Hinds; a 
							step-grandson, Zane Hinds; one great-granddaughter, 
							Lily; and several nieces and nephews. 
							 
							Fran is preceded in death by her parents, husband, 
							Pete; siblings, Jim Sloan, Joyce Seaman, William 
							Sloan, and Paul Edward.

							Fran was a long-time member of 
							Immanuel Lutheran Church in Lincoln. She enjoyed 
							playing bingo, Words with Friends, solitaire, and 
							watching Days of Our Lives. Above all else, Fran 
							loved her family, especially her 
							great-granddaughter, Lily. 
							 
							Services for Fran will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, 
							September 16, 2022, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in 
							Lincoln. A visitation will take place one hour prior 
							from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Burial will take place at 
							Zion Cemetery following the service.  
							 
							Memorials may be made in Fran’s name to Immanuel 
							Lutheran Church or Shriners Hospital for Children.
							 
							 
							Arrangements for Fran have been entrusted to 
							Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home.
