evening, 25-16 and 26-24 the scores.

The Lady Railers then exchanged places on the court and
faced Mount Pulaski, without even needing additional time to

point for point, until Lincoln came out on top in each set,
					26-24 and 27-25 the scores.

On Saturday morning, the Lady Railers took care of Mendon

The win pushed Lincoln into the championship match with
Lena-Winslow on Saturday afternoon. The Lady Railers worked
quickly on the court, as they had a homecoming dance to get
ready for, and demolished Lena-Winslow 25-12 and 25-14 for

Lincoln had an impressive showing in the tournament that
featured 14 teams from all over the state of Illinois.

					Lincoln Coach
Emma Derry was proud of her team for bringing home the
championship and she offered some comments after the win.
“It was a great tournament with lots of competition,” said
Derry. “We definitely had some up and downs, but the girls
kept fighting and didn’t give up. They all stepped up this
weekend and really wanted that championship. I am very proud
of how much they have stepped up and have progressed already
					this season.”

Derry has a lot of competitive athletes on this year’s squad
and on any given night each one shines brightly. As for the
2022 Mount Pulaski Fall Festival Volleyball Tournament, one
Lincoln player was named to the All-Tournament Team and that
					was sophomore Peyton Sasse.

Sasse led the team with 34 kills throughout the tournament.
She also had 3 blocks. Her overall play was outstanding and
she’s really become a breakout player this year for Lincoln.

The Lady Railers improved their season record to 12-3.

Lincoln will play two conference games this week on the
