			 [September 19, 2022] Andrew
Vaughn blasted his first career grand slam to cap a five-run
outburst in the fifth inning and the visiting Chicago White Sox
defeated the Detroit Tigers 11-5 on Sunday.

Eloy Jimenez had three hits, including a two-run home run, and drove

Tanner Banks (2-0), who pitched the last three innings and only
allowed one run, was credited with the victory.

Willi Castro hit a two-run homer and Javier Baez had a solo shot for
the Tigers (55-91). Detroit starter Drew Hutchison (2-9) was charged

Elvis Andrus sparked Chicago's five-run fifth with
a one-out single. Yoan Moncada followed with a single and they
pulled off a double steal with two outs. Jimenez walked to load the

Vaughn then crushed a hanging breaking ball from Jason Foley over
			the left-center field wall.

Detroit scored two runs in the sixth to make it 7-4. The Tigers
loaded the bases with no outs on two walks sandwiching Baez's
single. Kerry Carpenter drew a walk to force in the first run and
Jeimer Candelario's sacrifice fly scored Baez.

The White Sox tacked on three runs in the seventh. Jimenez unleashed
a 450-foot rocket to center after Abreu walked. Later in the inning,
Seby Zavala drove in Sheets with a single.

Jimenez had an RBI double in the eighth. Baez homered in the bottom
			of the inning.
