Obituary
Barbara K. McCubbin, 78, of Mt.
Vernon formerly of Lincoln passed away on Monday,
September 19, 2022 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt.
Vernon.
Cremation rites have been accorded. Barbara
requested no services to be held.
Barbara Kay Foster was born on October 3, 1943 in
Havana the daughter of Clayton and Ellarose Soper
Foster. She was united in marriage to Don “Chub”
McCubbin on March 8, 1969 in Springfield. He
preceded her in death on May 1, 2017.
She is survived by one brother: Steve (Tammy) Foster
of Mt. Vernon. Also surviving are several nieces and
nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents , one
brother: Michael L. Foster. |
Barb graduated from the Havana High
School in 1963. She retired from Cutler Hammer in
1994.
She was a charter member of Jefferson Christian
Church in Lincoln.
Memorials may be made to Jefferson Street Christian
Church in her memory.
Peasley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
