							Obituary  
							 Raymond Leo Benedict, 83, of 
							Lincoln, passed away March 24, 2023 at Lincoln 
							Village. Cremation rites have been accorded by 
							Holland Barry & Bennett Funeral Home. 
 A memorial visitation will be held Tuesday, April 4, 
							2023 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Holland Barry & 
							Bennett Funeral Home. Burial will be at 10 a.m. 
							Wednesday, April 5, 2023 in Elkhart Cemetery with 
							military rites performed by the Lincoln American 
							Legion Post 263.
 
 Raymond was born January 9, 1940 in Burtonview, the 
							son of Raymond Benedict and Martha (Jones) Benedict. 
							He proudly served his country in the United States 
							Marine Corp. He was a carpenter by trade and worked 
							on the Sears Tower and built many bridges. He 
							enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, trapping, and 
							fishing.
 
 Survivors include his children: Barb Ferguson, 
							Beverly (Jody) Geriets, Tina Benedict-Guzman 
							(Larry), and Steven Ray Benedict; grandchildren: 
							Jennifer Huddleston, Heather Raymond, Justin Fry, 
							Joshua Geriets, Derek Geriets, Sara Baker, Mason 
							Baker, Kaylie Benedict, and Dylan Benedict; 17 great 
							grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter, 
							siblings: Lyle Benedict, Brenda (Steve) Hankins, 
							Roger (Cheryl) Benedict, Carol (Bob) Parcessepe, 
							Randy Benedict, Ellen Eggers, Judy Baker, and Susie 
							(Wayne) Eatherly. Several Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, 
							and Friends also survive.

							He was preceded in death by his 
							parents, son Raymond "Bubby" Benedict, grandson 
							Jeremy Geriets, great granddaughter Novalee Marie, 
							brothers Dean Benedict, Wayne Benedict, Kenny 
							Benedict, and sister Ruby Skelton.
 Memorial donations may be made to the family in care
