The
Business Solutions Showcase will be held from 8:00 a.m. to 12:45
p.m. on Thursday, April 20 on the campus of Heartland Community
College in Normal.
A panel of industry experts share recommended approaches on timely
topics including Sticking With It: Emotional Intelligence is Hard
Than You Think, Using Stay Interviews to Retain Employees, Coaching
for Higher Performance, Supporting Neurodiversity in Your Workplace,
and improving Your Funny Bone at Work. Lunch is included and time
will be allowed for networking between sessions.
“This Business Showcase is a great opportunity for
managers and business owners to benefit from practical industry
expertise on timely topics affecting the workplace,” said Angie
Coughlin, Director of Continuing Education Outreach and Professional
Development at Heartland Community College. “These short sessions
will provide insight on areas of growth and improvement in the
workplace. Like our Essential Workplace Skills workshops, this
showcase is another way that the Continuing Education division
offers professional development options and lifelong education to
the community.”

All sessions will be held in the Community Commons Building (CCB)
on the Heartland Community College main campus (1500 W. Raab
Rd., Normal, IL).
The Business Solutions Showcase is free, but registration is
