Contestants brought their items in, cleaned and
snipped the edges, and started to arrange their offerings for the
best presentation possible. Proud grandparents and parents alike
stood and coached the younger participants...passing on a rich
tradition of pride in agriculture.
For those of us that were not raised on the farm this particular
section of grains was quite interesting and educational. Ask me the
difference between wheat and oats or hay and alfalfa and I would
have a 50/50 chance of guessing which is which.
