The Lincoln Park District Aquatic Center hosted a new
event on Thursday: an evening adult swim with trivia night and
raffle. Admission was half price as were concessions.
The relaxed atmosphere gave swimmers a chance to
unwind while awaiting the raffle drawing and the trivia competition.
At 7 p.m. Aquatic Center Manager, Jennifer Prather,
drew the winners of the three raffle prizes.
The winner of the one year Circuit Membership to the
Recreation Center was Kelly McCraith.
The winner of the 2023 Family Pool Pass was Judy
Kolessar.
The winner of the 2024 Private Pool Party was Dawn
Potter.
All proceeds from the raffles went to the Lincoln Park District
Foundation, which provides funding for Lincoln’s Fourth of July
fireworks, free swim lessons for low-income children, and other
projects.

After the drawing, Spin Instructor and trivia
aficionado Mark Graue emceed the evening’s trivia contest.
Six teams, including two teams made up of lifeguards
and pool staff, answered four rounds of five questions each.
Questions ranged from history to television to geography, and, of
course, no phones or internet were allowed.
The Grand prize-winning team was Kelly McCraith and
Stephanie Hall who each won a Champions Medal and certificate, a
Lincoln Park District swag bag, and one month free Fitzone
membership.
The second-place team of Dawn Potter and Judy
Kolessar each won Lincoln Park District swag bags.
Prather hopes to grow this event and the many other opportunities at
the Aquatic Center for families and individuals to stay active,
connect with the community, and to have a fun time doing both.
