Obituary
Carolyn M. Price, 75, of Lincoln,
passed away at home on Wednesday, August 8, 2023.
Cremation Rites have been accorded. Burial will be
at Camp Butler National Cemetery in Riverton,
Illinois.
Carolyn May Banks was born October 13, 1947, in
Decatur, the daughter of Betty O’Hearn and Frank
Layette, and raised as the daughter of William H.
and Violet M. Majesty Banks, Jr.
Carolyn is survived by two daughters: Bernice Burch
of Malakoff, TX, and Brenda Linder of Athens, TX;
four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and
three siblings: Ruby Ann Hearn, Louise Powell, and
Jeanellen Frost.

She was preceded in death by her
parents; one sister, one brother, and one
grandchild.
Carolyn held an associate degree and served in the
United States Army for many years. Following her
years of military service, she worked at and retired
from Eaton Corporation in Lincoln.
Peasley Funeral Home of Lincoln is assisting the
family with arrangements.
