Members of the Pekin Area Chamber of Commerce welcomed The Atlanta National Bank’s arrival to Pekin, Illinois, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on July 25th at the bank’s new branch at the corner of Broadway and South 4th streets.

“We are very excited to welcome The Atlanta National Bank, particularly to this building that has been empty for too long,” said Pekin Area Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Amy Whiting-McCoy. “Congratulations to you and your team, and on behalf of the Chamber and its board members, we thank you for your partnership in our community.”

Echoing those sentiments was Pekin Mayor Mary Burress, who was also in attendance. “We really appreciate you bringing another business to town,” she remarked during the festivities. “You are helping us so much, and I hope our community can give back to you and help you find success here.”

The day was especially meaningful to The Atlanta National Bank’s Executive Vice President and CEO, Neal Stimpert, who started his career in Pekin at a former bank that was based just across the street and within sight of his new branch.
