Balloon Flights / Balloon Glow Schedule

The flights are slated for:

  • Friday Evening (Approx. 6:00/6:15 PM)

  • Saturday Morning (Approx. 6:15/6:30 AM)

  • Saturday Evening (Approx. 6:00/6:15 PM)

Balloon Glow - Saturday Evening at 8:00 PM at the (2) Launch Sites Listed Below-

  • 455 Campus View Dr., Lincoln

  • Dugan Center
    500 N. McLean St., Lincoln

The glow is where the pilots set up the balloons, stay tethered to the ground and glow at night.
Would you like to help crew a balloon during Balloons Over 66 Weekend? We would love to have you! If you are interested, please come to the Comfort Inn in Lincoln, IL at 5:00 PM Friday, August 25th. Wear comfortable clothing. NO open-toed shoes, dresses, or skirts. Hope to see you there!

Friday, 25th - Itinerary

  • Ribbon Cutting at Main Stage- Downtown Lincoln - 1:30 p.m.

  • Food Trucks- open for lunch! - Downtown Lincoln

  • Friday Night Balloon Flights - Approx. 6:00/6:15 PM

Flights take off at each of the 3 launch sites:

  • Mayfair Park (Mayfair subdivision is located off of N. Kickapoo St. across from Graue Chevrolet) -

MAIN STAGE: Downtown - Stage will be set up on the corner of Pulaski St and Kickapoo St (facing North toward Broadway St.)

LIVE MUSIC from Fun DMC from 7:00-11:00 PM

**Alcohol vending will be done from Spirited Republic, Alley-Bi Saloon, The Rusty Rail Pub, Lincoln Banquet Center**
