Obituary
Ralph E. Hartman, 84, of Mt. Pulaski,
passed on November 30, 2023, at Aperion Care Capitol
in Springfield.
Ralph was born on April 18th, 1939, in Mt. Auburn,
the son of Orville and Mary (Kidd) Hartman. He
married Donna Drabing in 1978 at the Mt. Pulaski
Christian Church. She survives.
Ralph is also survived by four children: Robert
(Karen) Hartman, Thomas (Tony) Hartman, Michael
(Casey) Hartman, and Shelley (Jeff) Skaggs, his
seven grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and
four siblings: Marilyn Hamm, Eddie Hartman, Jim
Hartman, and Joyce Johnson.
He is preceded in death by his parents, son: Philip
Hartman, brother: Danny Hartman, and sister: Wanda
Danfort.

Ralph worked at Caterpillar for
several years before retiring in 1999. He always
enjoyed spending time with his family, playing
bingo, and was a proud collector of the diecast
Caterpillar implement models (such as dump trucks,
tractors, bulldozers, etc.).
Ralph’s wishes were to be cremated. There will be a
Celebration of Life held at a later date.
Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Mt. Pulaski
has been entrusted with arrangements.
